Winner of the 2023 Seán Ó Faoláin International Short Story Competition. Second in the Mairtin Crawford Prize. Finalist in the London Independent Story Prize with work published in the US, UK and Ireland.

As a playwright, winner of Write Now, with work performed at Arcola and Jack Theatre and readings at Soho Theatre and the Salisbury Playhouse. Short plays performed extensively around London. Wrote book and lyrics for the musical Lydia. Wrote the short film Flying Home for the BBC which won at Utah, Depth of Field, WPPN and Accolade film festivals. Wrote feature screenplay 'Bullet Ready.'

Tom lives in London. He is a BAFTA winner, with two Rose d’Or nominations and an MBE for services to the creative industries. 

 

Tom is a qualified coach. He coaches creatives and writers, helping them unearth the central meaning of their stories and unlock their full creative potential. More about coaching here.

It was a joy and a high point to be selected by Alexander MacLeod as the 2023 winner of the Seán Ó Faoláin International Short Story Competition at the Cork International Short Story Festival.
