Winner of the 2023 Seán Ó Faoláin International Short Story Competition at the Cork International Short Story Festival, finalist in the London Independent Story Prize with work published by Volume 1 Brooklyn, Litro Magazine, Fictive Dream, The Wells Street Journal and others.

As a playwright, winner of Write Now, with work performed at Arcola and Jack Theatre and readings at Soho Theatre and the Salisbury Playhouse. Short plays performed extensively around London. Wrote book and lyrics for the musical Lydia.

​

Wrote the short film Flying Home for the BBC which won at Utah, Depth of Field, WPPN and Accolade film festivals. Currently in development with the screenplay Bullet Ready, and hip-hop dance play ‘The Chauffeur’ with Ukweli Roach.

Tom lives in London. He is a BAFTA winner, with two Rose d’Or nominations and an MBE for services to the creative industries. An overflowing portfolio of short stories and plays, once earned a living as a mime ...

It was a joy and a high point to be selected by Alexander MacLeod as this year’s winner of the Seán Ó Faoláin International Short Story Competition at the Cork International Short Story Festival.
